Application

As one of the important parts of the large crude oil carrier, the heavy-duty rudder horn is the key part for supporting and hanging rudder construction as it is to be impacted by sea water, bearing a large variable load.

Features

01.The company has complete inspection and testing means. A variety of inspection and test, for instance, UT (Ultrasonic Test), MT (Magnetic Particle Test) and RT (Radiographic Test) can be carried out to meet the user's requirement for internal quality.

02.The most real data have been mastered through summary, verification and optimization of a large amount of accumulation in the early stage. The casting product can be manufactured successfully just at one time thanks to the reliable, accurate and stable technical parameters.  

03.Resin sand moulding is adopted. And the first-grade standard is used for all the patterns. For all the key areas the chromite sand, imported from South Africa, is used. In addition, the domestic best-quality crude sand, resin curing agent, paint and other raw materials are used.  

04.The company has a high-quality technical team. A perfect casting quality precaution system has been established. Mature technology, scientific management and lean operations are available in the company with the aid of the international advanced MAGMA simulation software.

During the past years, the company has produced large amounts of marine castings.  Main customers include famous enterprises such as Dalian Shipyard, Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited, New Times Shipbuilding Co.,Ltd., Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group Limited. In addition, the castings have been exported to South Korea, Germany, Japan and other countries and regions in the world. For Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. the rudder horn for 320,000 DMT crude oil carrier has been produced. With the dimensions of 10500mmx6700mx2400mm the gross weight of the rudder horn reaches 187t. With the overall dimensions of 8472mm×2810mm×4640mm the gross weight of the stern boss reaches 107t.

For castings, TYHI has obtained the works approval of CCS (China classification society), LR (Lloyd's Register of Shipping - UK), DNV (Det Norske Veritas - Norway), GL (Germanischer Lloyd - Germany), ABS (American Bureau of Shipping- the USA), BV (Bureau Veritas - France) and KR (Korean Register of Shipping - Korea).
