Application

Liftboat is a kind of multifunctional offshore service platform. The main features include: providing high standard accommodation; offering lifting operation for equipment replacement and module replacement; conducting work-over operation to enhance oil recovery and oilfield production; and providing spacious deck.

Features

01.Service support for oil field production: Apart from drilling and production operation, liftboat can complete multi-service support, like offering the service of accommodation, lifting operation, work-over operation, natural gas compression and dismantle work of oil field, etc.

02.Equipped with propeller and dynamic positioning system: Without the assistance of tugs, liftboat is a self-propelled platform. Meanwhile, it is equipped with dynamic positioning system to realize the function of positioning in stormy sea.

03.Jacking up and down with legs: Generally, liftboat has three or four legs with truss or cylindrical structure, which can jack up and down freely. The legs stand on sea bed when liftboat is in operation and the legs withdraw when liftboat is in floating.

04.Stable and safe operation environment: Compared with barge, liftboat has distinct advantages of high efficiency, high security and low costs. Moreover, it can also offer stable and safe operation environment.

05.Economic cost: Without the requirement of drilling, liftboat can take over jack-up drilling rig, complete workover operation with low cost and enhance oil recovery.

Liftboat is widely used in offshore oil field with the distinct advantages of low cost, high safety, multi-service support for drilling rigs and production platforms. For Gulf of Mexico, liftboat has been adopted for more than 30 years and now more than 200 liftboats are in operation. The ratio of liftboats and platforms is 1:21, achieving a supply-demand balance. However, other regions are far from a supply-demand balance and are in great demand, such as Middle East, West Africa, North Europe, Southeast Asian, etc.
