Gearbox for Offshore Drilling Platform Jack-up System

Jacking system uses gear-rack engagement principle to realize the lifting operation. Being installed on the fixing frame of the ship, the system can be driven by electric motor and hydraulic motor, and each jacking unit is made up by climbing gears, reducer, electric motor/hydraulic motor, solenoid brake (self-protection), central control system. Locking system is made up by spiral device, lockinggear, chunk, hydro-cylinder, distributor, pump station and control cabine to pile edge.

Application

Jacking system is used as a transmission device on offshore drilling platform. Spud legs down to the bottom so as to stand on the seabed during the operation, then the platform leaves the surface of the sea by the self-elevating system.The spud legs retracted by the system while the platform is floating. The platform is locked by the system from both vertical and horizontal directions.

01.The locking system has the advantages of high reliability, low cost and short operation by using 4-spiral transmission device and side- hydraulic cylinder to lock & unlock

02.Jacking system has the advantages of high speed ratio, auto load balance, compact structure, high reliability and long life by using one drive motor with two output climbing gears and multistage deceleration in a full-closed gearbox
