Assembling of Furnace Backing Ring

There are two kinds of convertor furnace vessels which are removable bottom and fixed bottom. Furnace supporting system includes back ring, furnace suspension device and trunnion bearing set. Convertor back ring has a structure of welded box form and another hollow structure of two-sides trunnion. Generally there are two types of back rings which are circle ring and U ring. And furnace body suspension device has upper suspension and lower suspension. Other attached devices include adapters, pipes, boards, heat shields, obliquity indicators, etc.

Application

Furnace vessel is a liquid steel container. The function of backing ring is holding the furnace body and turning it under the drive of tilting device, which follows the steel-making operations. Suspension device makes the furnace body connects to the backing ring firmly, and adapts the relative displacement generated by furnace body and backing ring caused by thermal deformation. Convertor transfers the heavy load evenly to the backing ring at any position. Trunnion bearing is fixed in a specified docking which adapts the thermal deformation of the convertor. Swivel joint is used in inner cycling of multi-routes water and steam, master controller and rotary encoder are installed at transmission side, which are used to sense the status of the convertor.
